寮生活による霊性の向上と、人間理解の深まりを重視しています。

聖書学院の生徒は､神学生ではなく修養生と呼ばれています｡それは聖書学院が修養を重視しているからです｡すなわち､聖書学院は知的な研鎖の場であるばかりか､共同生活による人間関係における人格的成長､また､個人や同僚､教授だちとの交わりや祈りによる霊的成長を重んじています｡この実現のためには､どうしても寮生活が必要とされます｡学院の寮生活はいわゆる大学などの学生寮の生活とは異なり､専任の男女の舎監､学生監との親密な交わりを通しお互いの､また個人での祈りの生活を確立してい
く中で､伝道者としての人間形成がなされます。


Tokyo Biblical Seminary emphasizes spiritual training and students of TBS are not called seminarians but "shuyosei" or ministers in training. TBS not only offers theological study but also character development through community living and spiritual growth through fellowship and prayer. Dorm life at TBS, which differs from dorm life in college, encourages the spiritual and character formation of students into "dendosha" or ministers. Growth is nurtured through personal prayer life and prayer with others, and through exchange with the two dean of students and the superintendent of students.
